If you are picking up afterwards, or booking a Taxi, please follow the directions.
Parking is at your own risk.
COVID
Please DO NOT ATTEND if you are experiencing any COVID related symptoms.
PHO is an entirely outdoor event, and so whilst the risks are reduced, we ask all patrons to take a sensible approach. Most seats are not allocated, so please return to the same seat for the second Act after the interval.
Dress Code
There is no formal dress code, although many use the opportunity to dust off their Black Tie and frocks, especially on the Friday and Saturday nights! We want you to feel relaxed, so please come as you feel comfortable.
Please be aware that the ground at Park House is soft and uneven which might dictate your choice of footwear.
You might want to bring something warm to wear for the evening and possibly waterproof if the weather looks inclement.
No umbrellas during the performance in the case of rain.
Video and Photography
Recording or broadcasting any part of the performance is prohibited under licence laws. Flash photography is hazardous to the safety of the performers and is not permitted.
Commercial photography is prohibited at all times. Other photographs for private use may be taken, provided no disturbance is caused to the audience or the actors.
Please feel free to share these on social media using the hashtag #parkhouseopera
Food and Drink
Friday and Saturday are fully catered, so please don’t bring your own food or drink to either of these evenings. Please let us know in advance through the “Contact” form if you have any dietary requirements, and then also please let your server know that you have pre-ordered. On Tuesday and Wednesday, you are welcome to bring a picnic/sandwiches, but why not try a delicious pasta and Tiramisu from The Cornish Italian? Again, we would ask that you use the bars onsite for drinks to support our local suppliers rather than bring your own. You are welcome to take a drink to your seat during the performance.
A range of wines from Old Chapel Cellars will be available by the bottle or glass, as well as Camel Valley Brut and Prosecco, Gin and Tonic, beer and soft drinks.
Interval Drinks will be available to pre-order at the Bar before the performance - just write your name and order on a label and take it to the bar.
Please leave plenty of time to enjoy the food and drink and catching up with your friends before the performance as you will be called to sit promptly 10 minutes before the published start time.
The bar will remain open after the performance, so why not stay for a drink in the Walled Garden!
All payments on the night will be contactless.
What to bring
Seating is provided, both in the Walled Garden bar and food area, and for the performance, so no need to bring chairs. The British weather is variable and the performance goes into the evening, so feel free to bring blankets (also available to buy on the night), cushions, waterproofs etc. as you see fit, but please, NO UMBRELLAS during the performance as it restricts the view of the people behind you.
Disabled Access
A number of parking spaces near the entrance will be set aside for people with mobility issues. Please let the parking attendants know on the night. Also, we are happy to set aside a few easy access seats near the front of the audience - please just let us know of your needs at Reception when you arrive.
What if it rains?
The show must go on! The event and performance will only be cancelled on Health and Safety grounds, in which case refunds will be provided. Details of the policy is in out Terms and Conditions below.
Smoking
No Smoking or Vaping during the performance.
Map
Map from Truro Trafalgar Roundabout to Park House (red route).
Postcode: TR1 1SX – NB. The postcode can be misleading with many satnavs, so please follow the instructions below - do NOT go through Truro School and Trennick Lane - this road is not passable even to 4x4s!
Please approach via Truro Trafalgar Roundabout, up St Clement Hill past Truro School. Turn Right towards St Clement at the top of the hill. Proceed towards St Clement, and turn right into a Public Byway 100m after you have passed “RKDoor Systems Ltd” on the right. The venue will be signposted on the day of the event. The Public Byway is narrow, so we will be operating a one-way system. Please DO NOT come to Park House via the Private Road from Sunny Corner on the Malpas Road. There is plenty of parking in the field adjacent to Park House.

Note - the roads are narrow, so if you are dropping off please consider exiting via the blue route, and if collecting at the end of the evening, take the blue route via Malpas Road to Sunny Corner to the venue to avoid meeting a hundred cars head on!
